It's really a simple idea. At its most basic level, it's just like having six music players. Think of it as opening six copies of Windows Media Player or six copies of iTunes. Then think of it as a trigger to play any six sounds, songs, parts of sounds or anything you've preloaded (that you can instantly change) any time you want.
Plus you can play any or all of the sounds, loop-play the sounds and trigger/stutter the sounds BOTH by clicking your mouse and by using your keyboard. So you can playback, manipulate and control 6 audio tracks in a desktop studio environment.
You can instantly play any or all of the 6 sounds you've loaded using the 6 play buttons with your mouse. Or you can hit the corresponding 6 keyboard buttons too. Plus you can use the mouse and keyboard together. In short, a soft sampler makes it super easy to trigger short or long sounds exactly when you want, exactly how you want.

6 Instant Sound Triggers

Trigger 6 tracks separately or together. Stutter play, loop play or normal play. Use for music, effects, presentations composing (yes you can) creating singing dog songs and more.

Here's the Sampler main interface. You can load any WAV or MP3 audio file, long or short into any of the 6 Sampler players. Then each can be played or loop played forever by clicking the Play or Loop Buttons for each player or the corresponding Keyboard mapped keys.
Plus there's a main (7th) player at the top that gives you the power to play a series of files and you can change BOTH the pitch/key and then adjust the speed separately. It's all in one easy to use interface. And there's room to open it two times if you want to have 12 sampler players open at once.

So, you can fast click (Stutter click or keyboard) to keep starting a sound which is what hip-hop artists, DJs and composers do. You can use it to generate record-scratching sounds and much more.
Plus you can loop play any or all the sounds so they keep playing forever till you click or key stop. What I really like is that a sampler makes musical creativity accessible to all of us.

The loop-forever-play is why it's also called a drum machine or what I call music minus. Have you ever played an electronic keyboard and set the rhythm going then played along? Our sampler does that for you.
Playing back 1 bar or a pattern repeatedly is what drum machines are all about. And you can play several drum patterns, drum tracks or rhythm patterns perfectly synced at the same time if you like.

Have you ever wanted to play along with yourself? Easy as pie now too. You can record yourself playing piano, guitar or the cello as I do, then load it in sampler and mix it with another instrument or sing along if you like.
Want to be a duet, trio or even a choir? No problem. Just load your voice tracks and then trigger them as you want them to appear. Here's an easy example. Think the round, Row, Row, Row Your Boat. Just load yourself 3 times.
Trigger the 1st file of you singing. Then, trigger the 2nd file of you singing at the word 'Gently'. Finally, trigger the third file of you singing when the 2nd file play's 'Gently'. Choose loop play and you'll have a perfect round that keeps going and going and going. It's just that easy.

It's Just Me And My Sampler Remember the singing/barking dogs at Christmas? Now you can make your own singing dogs, singing cats or singing anything you like. With this sampler just take a sound, any sound from the DAK sound effects, from something you've recorded yourself or from any record or CD you own.
You can turn any animal, sound effect or anything into a singing wonder. Well, maybe not a Beethoven symphony, but into a ton of fun for all.

You effortlessly control the key and the speed of any music or effect with the main player. Then record what you want and load the file into one of the 6 Sampler players.

Use the special speed up/slow down tempo slider to adjust the key/pitch of the musical bark, meow or whatever you want, while you use the playback rate slider to keep the actual speed the same.
Then record each 'musical' note bark or whatever separately. (I use the term musical very loosely.) Make high bark notes, low bark notes and in-between bark notes too.

Then just load as many as you like in the Sampler and play them using the keyboard or the mouse or both.

Trigger Sounds From Your Keyboard Too

You can use your mouse to click the on-screen buttons. Or use your keyboard or both. You trigger each of the 6 sampler players by hitting the number keys 1-6. You can play one, 2 or all of them and you can stutter click them for awesome effects too.
Plus when you also hold down the alt key (Arrow 1.) you get loop play and if you hold down the Control Key (Arrow 2) you instantly stop the player. So control your sound files from the keyboard, from the screen or a combination of both. And any time you want to disable the keyboard, just click off the NUM LOCK Key.

Oh, And Just A Thought Here. You can actually open the sampler twice so you can have 12 triggers to play with at the same time. They fit right next to each other on your screen. It's a ton of fun. I know I said that already, but it really is. And now you can easily do it too.

Each of the 6 Sampler Players gives you the power to load any Wav or MP3 file, Play it, Stutter Play it, Loop it and Stop it. You can also adjust the volume of each of the 6 sound files too.

Lots of really serious uses too. It's a cue player. It's designed to be used by theater sound people to play sound effects including intro and exit music. Ever wonder how they get the sounds like a phone ringing or a door squeaking or applause in a stage presentation or musical?
They just load them in their sampler and key them whenever needed. So now every sound for every event can be instantly triggered. It's fast. It's easy. And you're sure to use it all the time. Oh, and cues can be replayed or skipped over, no problem.
In an orchestra or just at home, use a recording of 440Hz to tune. That's the A that we all tune to. Or use it to play the instruments that aren't there with you. That's why I call this both Music Minus and Music Plus.
Again think of it as a digital tape recorder that can play back any sound you've recorded for any reason at any time. Sample a trumpet or a violin and use the sampler to reproduce sounds you can't normally hold as long or haven't been played together before. You can get some really interesting effects.
Most studio Pros consider a sampler to be a creative instrument, not just a reproduction device. You will too after you play with it for a while. This is really worth a try. It's really a combination of realism and creativity. Realism is because unlike a synthesizer (which is similar) you are playing real sounds and creativity because you can do so much.
