It's Audio to Digital Fast.
Don't have Line Out Jacks on your Cassette Deck or Stereo System? No problem just use DAK's Headphone to Interface Mixer Cable. It take BOTH 1/4" and 3/8" (3.5mm) stereo headphone jacks and turns the signal into standard RCA Jacks that plug into the Interface Mixer.

Also, your stereo uses standard RCA Patch Cords and your computer uses 3.5mm (1/8") Mini plugs. All you need is a special 6 foot cable to connect the two. That's here too.

THE HEADPHONE ADAPTER
& 6' CABLE
Most Stereo systems have an RCA jacks out. That's called Line Out. But some don't'.
If your cassette deck or stereo system doesn't have Line Out Jacks, don't worry. It's sure to have a headphone jack just like one of the ones I've pictured to the right.
Our Headphone Interface cable allows you to instantly use your headphone out jack just like it was a Line Out jack.
How's the sound? It's fine. It's the same sound you'd get from the Line Outs, but there's a very small amplifier used to power headphones that adds some power.
Because it's so small it doesn't tend to be too powerful or add measurable distortion, so it's fine to use.
This cable with BOTH adapters (3.5mm & 1/4") to handle any headphone jack is just $8.95 ($2 P&H).

THE RCA TO 3.5mm CABLE
It's just a cable. It's not complicated. All you need to do is plug this cable's RCA Jacks into the line outputs of your our Interface Mixer or any other Line Out.
Then plug the 3.5 MM stereo plug into your sound card's line in.
Note: I'm Giving you this cable free when you buy the Interface Mixer.

PLUS THIS IS THE MOST REQUESTED CABLE for connecting FROM HEADPHONE JACKS  to the Interface Mixer. Just plug the 3.5mm stereo end into your headphone jack, then plug the dual RCA jacks into the Mixer and you're all set.
To order your 6' 3.5mm to RCA stereo cable, risk free with your credit card, click the Buy Link below. It's $6.95 ($2 P&H). Order No 2026 (CA res. add tax)

6' RCA TO RCA PATCH CORDS
This is the industry standard 6' stereo cable used to connect all component stereo equipment. It has 2 RCA Jacks at each end just like the red and white jacks to the right.

It's a 6' shielded cable that will give you years of reliable service.

To order your 6' RCA to RCA stereo patch cords, risk free with your credit card, click the Buy Link below. It's $4.95 ($2 P&H). Order No 2068 (CA res. add tax)

THE 3.5mm TO 3.5mm CABLE
This cable is for going from a headphone jack out right into your sound card. It can only be used from a portable cassette deck or boombox that IS NOT plugged into AC or you're likely to get hum and ground loop problems.
To order your 6' 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable, risk free with your credit card, click the Buy Link below. It's $6.95 ($2 P&H). Order No 2074 (CA res. add tax)
Note: I've added these cable options because I've received a bunch of emails from people asking where to get the cable. Most of them are available to you locally, but if you can't find them, I've made them available here to help out and make it easier for all of us. . .Drew

If you have headphone out jacks like those you see just above at the bottom of my picture here, then this cable allows you to instantly connect to the Interface Mixer so you can start copying your Cassettes, Tapes & LPs right now. The Cable is 6' long.

Need an extra cable to go from the Interface Mixer into your computer's sound card? Here it is. It's got 2 RCA Jacks on one end and a 3.5mm (1/8" Jack) on the other. The cable is 6' long.

Here's what your sound card looks like. The microphone jack to the left is a PINK 3.5mm jack. The BLUE Line In jack is the Jack we use to connect the Interlace Mixer Into your computer's sound card. And you may or may not have a yellow or black jack which we do not use. You should find these jacks right next to the Green Jack that you currently have your speakers plugged into.

A quick Primer on Cables.

OK, this is all you need to know. The cable on the left is called an RCA Patch Cord. It uses 2 jacks, 1 jack for each channel.

The cable in the middle is a 3.5mm (or 1/8") mini stereo jack. This is the newer cable that's used in your computer and most headphone and mike jacks today. It's still stereo, but both channels are on the same prong as you can see in my picture.

The cable on the right is called a ¼" Phono plug. It's the same as the 3.5mm jack, just bigger. It's the type that's been used for headphones for years and in pro mikes as well.

Next.

Here's the way into your computer's sound card. Your computer will look like this when you go to the back. You will plug the cable we sent you with the Interface Mixer into this BLUE Jack.

The Blue Jack is the Line In. The Pink Jack is for a Microphone. If your jack isn't blue, look for the little picture with the concentric circles with the arrow pointing in. That's the other way of identifying this jack.

So you are either going to plug your Turntable or Cassette Deck into the A side of the Mixer as I showed you above. Turntables have their cables already connected, so just plug them in.

Your cassette deck or stereo system will have outputs that look like these. These are called RCA Jacks and you just plug any standard RCA patch cord into the OUT or PLAY jacks and the other end into the A Jacks on the Interface Mixer.

What If You Don't Have Line Out RCA Jacks?

OK so you're using a portable Boombox, Walkman or Stereo System without RCA Line Out Jacks.

No Problem. Virtually all portables and stereo systems have headphone out jacks as I've pictured above. You can just plug a cable into the jack and the other end into the A jacks on the Interface Mixer and you're all set to go.

If you need the cable you can get it from any electronics store. If you need it from us, I do have them, but they will probably be cheaper locally.

The 3.5mm (1/8") 6' cable with RCA jacks on the other end to plug into the Interface Mixer is $6.95 ($2 P&H)
The 1/4" (that's actually an adapter on a 3.5mm jack so you can use it for either jack) 6' cable with RCA Jacks at the other end to plug into the Interface Mixer is $8.95 ($2 P&H).

But, chances are you have the cables lying around the house, so don't buy new ones if you don't need to.

Loop Cable In/Out Solution
What's a loop cable? OK we've just found a few computers that don't have the traditional "what you hear - stereo mix - wave out" ability to record from the Internet.

Even computers with Win 95 had this but some sound cards seem to have just left it out. So does that mean you can't record from the Internet?

Not without a loop cable. What does it do? It takes the output from your computer BEFORE it goes to your speakers and sends it into the LINE input of your computer. That's it. Just plug one male end into your speaker jack and the other male end into your line in jack.

Then plug your speakers into the 3rd jack you see which is a female jack for your speakers. There's nothing to open or do. Just plug it in and start recording from the Internet. I've got them for just $6.95 ($3 P&H) Order No. 3036. CA res add tax. It's nothing fancy, it's just, well, a loop cable.
