This is a surprise for my wife who has been chirping about no space on her phone and her cloud is full too. DAK to the rescue!

You, and your guests, will be mesmerized by the massive three-foot VU type meter display built in to the speaker tower.

This is not just another PA speaker pretending to be a Christmas tree, so forget those tacky hybrids.

The Rover 8’s dual LED light strips bring your music to life in a way that’s both useful and fun to watch.
The LED light strips react to your music, so you really see your audio displayed on the huge VU type meter in real time.

You choose the lightshow settings. Adjust both the color and the sensitivity of how the LEDs light up in some of the modes.
Of course that means it’s not a true VU meter, but it also means you have more control over the lightshow.

Three Different Lightshows to SEE Your Music.
Plus Two Light Modes Just For Fun.

OK, so they’re all fun (except #5), but it’s the three first modes that really interact with your music.

1- Mix – See your favorite songs flash up and down the gigantic VU type meter display in blue, green and red. The two 34 inch light strips really are a glorious sight to see. The louder you play your music, the higher the meter goes.

2- Meter – It’s the same VU type meter display as before, but in this mode, the LED lights are a solid color. You pick one of 10 color hues, and if you’re like me, you’ll want to continue playing with it every few songs. If you really can’t make up your mind, you can link to a second Rover 8 and set each big VU type meter to a different color.

3- Pulse –   OK, so even though this is also a VU type display, it isn’t a meter. Instead, the entire LED light strip lights up, pulsing to the music in the color you like best. What’s great is that you adjust the sensitivity of the pulsing. At the least sensitive setting, you get a steady mood light that will only pulse at high volume peaks, or you can have the opposite effect, where it only strobes at the volume peaks.

4- Party –The LEDs will cycle through all 10 colors, so you don’t have any color choice, but you do control the speed. You get a trippy rainbow effect at the very fastest setting. You can set the speed so that it looks like the colors change with every beat of the song, but it isn’t actually reacting to your music. You won’t learn anything about the rhythm, but that won’t stop you from having fun with it.

5- Demo –The Rover 8 will cycle through all 10 colors at a slow, preset pace. BORING!
But hey, at least you do get four lightshows that you really will enjoy watching.
If 2 out of 3 ain’t bad, well, 4 out of 5 is even better!

How Much Bass Do You Like?

The Rover 8 was designed for events, so expect loud and clear midrange thanks to the titanium magnetized tweeter driver with 1” voice coil.

But with three 8 inch woofers with 10 oz magnets stacked in a column, it’s no surprise that you can get heavy thumping bass if that’s what you like.
I don’t. Whatever your preference, the Bass and Treble EQ knobs on the back of the PA speaker let you fine tune your music to play just how you want to hear it.

Even you’re like me and don’t like overpowering bass, you’ll see that it really depends on the venue.
Sometimes, the extra bass is needed in a larger dance-hall setting. It’s all about finding the sweet spot of the listening environment.

Built in Amplification

The Rover 8 uses a 70 Watt RMS class D amplifier with max SPL of 125dB.
What’s good about class D amplification is that it’s highly efficient, and lighter weight then other types of amplifiers. You get tons of volume without the heavy bulk. The sound is perfect for parties, meetings and events where you need your voice and your music to be heard, though I wouldn’t drive a corvette on a golf course, and I wouldn’t use the Rover 8 if I wasn’t hosting guests.

Tripod Ready

The Rover 8 sits great on the on the floor, and has rubberized feet to keep it steady.
But when you’re at a party, and you want to make sure your audio is projected louder and at greater distances, having a speaker stand tripod makes a big difference.
Instead of playing music at everybody’s feet, you’re playing it at ear level so your voice and music will be heard at much greater distances.

No Set Up. Plug and Play

If you’re looking for a powerful, dance party ready, PA speaker, look no further. You get lots of volume plus the LED VU type dB display is sure to delight and entertain the guests at your next event.

It isn’t rechargeable, but it is powered. All you need to do is plug it into the wall and you’re ready to start the party.
