DAK’s Powerbank Docking Station
DAK’s Powerbank Docking Station
Forget Swiss Army Knives
The most important tool in your emergency survival kit today is a powerbank to keep your phone battery charged up. And it sure doesn’t help when smartphone manufacturers are actively throttling your battery so it dies in about 3 seconds flat (I won’t name names, but we’re on to you!).
So it’s common practice to carry a powerbank on hand for everyday use, because it’s never fun to see you’ve got less than 8% battery life remaining when it’s only lunchtime.
The problem is when you’re absent minded like I am, and you wake up to realize you haven’t charged your phone last night. So you bring along your powerbank only to discover that it hasn’t been charged up either. Now you’ve got a nice paperweight, but that’s about it.
DAK’s Powerbank Docking Station was designed so you’re never left searching for portable power when you need it most.
It’s exactly like the charging base for your cordless phone (remember landlines? LOL). You know the phone belongs on the charging base, so you naturally put it back where it belongs. It simply makes sense. Same goes for DAK’s Powerbank Docking Station. It simply makes sense for it to belong on a charging base. You always know where to find it, and it’s always charged up when you need it.
Oh, and even if you’re meticulously organized and always prepared like my wife is, you’ll appreciate this.
There’s this weird thing that happens around my house. Powerbanks, like any object without a designated spot where it belongs, tend to float around my house without rhyme or reason. Seriously, you’d think we’re living in anti-gravity or something. One day it’s on the kitchen table, the next day it’s in my sock drawer. I really do drive my wife crazy.
Either way, now that I have a designated docking station to recharge my powerbank means one less “thing” that gets lost around here. I take it when I need it, I return it when I’m done. I’ve become very well trained.
Power for Everyday Use
The big consideration with powerbanks is deciding how heavy you want it to be. In the past, I was a supporter of beefier powerbanks of 10,000 maH or more. They’re great because you’ll get multiple charges for your phone battery. The drawback is that they take hours to charge up, and they’re also kind of heavy to carry around all day. They’re great for camping trips, but it’s just overkill for daily use.
DAK’s Powerbank Docking Station is more ideal for “Grab and Go” everyday reliability. Remember, the whole idea of the docking station is that they’re always at the ready. Just grab it on your way out and you’re all set for the day. It’s lightweight enough to keep in your pocket, but powerful enough to give you more than a full charge to your phone. With 5,000 maH per powerbank, it really is perfectly suited for daily use.
Here’s how it charges
OK, so if you take a look at the bottom panel, you’ll see 3 contact points that charge up the battery. Magnets keep the powerbank in place as it charges up. Of course, you can still charge up each powerbank the traditional way by plugging in a micro USB plug.
A soft LED indicator on each powerbank lets you know the charging status: 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% charged.
2.1A Output for Faster Charging
2.1 Amps is powerful enough to increase your battery charge percentage even while using your phone. So make yourself comfortable when you’re watching a movie in bed, because you won’t need to stay tethered to the wall.
His and Hers. Or Both Yours.
DAK’s Powerbank Docking Station comes with two powerbanks that can both stay charging on the docking station simultaneously. That’s good news if you need to share with the rest of the family, but it’s even better if you want to always have a backup battery fully charged and ready to be swapped out.
