Hate jamming little earbuds into your ears?
Meet BeHear Proxy:
This customizable personal speaker set was made for you.

My first thought before testing my BeHear Proxy: “Why would I ever want to wear speakers around my neck?”

After using the Proxy speakers for a few hours, I came to a new realization. I REALLY don’t like earbuds.
And by the way, the Proxy speakers are very good. It’s a use case I hadn’t ever anticipated caring for.

No, they aren’t room-shaking, chest-thumping, knees-quaking kind of speakers (we’ve got the Buddylinks for that!).

This has all the personal aspects of headphone and earbud listening, but without putting THINGS on or in your ear.
It’s like socially distant hardware. Super polite.

Turns out, you don’t need obnoxiously loud music for it to sound crisp and crystal clear.

Phone and Zoom calls are much, much better

Speaking of crystal clear audio, the built in microphone technology ensure that those on the other end of the call will hear you speaking crystal clear. Even if you’re in an environment with lots of ambient noise.

Need extra privacy for your conversation?
Extractable earbuds to seamlessly switch over your conversation. (Yes, even if you prefer not to use earbuds, they certainly have their benefits.)

Here’s why the Proxy neck-band shoulder speakers are far, far superior to any other neck speakers on the market today

The short answer is proprietary software.

TLDR;
First came the hybrid between hearing aids and Bluetooth earbuds, called the Wear and Hear Assistive Hearing Bluetooth Earbuds (you can see that here).

DAKonians with mild to moderate hearing loss love using the $249 personal amplifier solution, because they’re still Bluetooth earbuds, not hearing aids.
But for younger DAKonians like me, there’s something else that really makes those Assistive Hearing BT Earbuds special:

It gives us total control over the music that we listen to.

And this is all relevant to the BeHear Proxy.

Instead of using speakers that have been tuned with a specific frequency response sound profile (like virtually every other speaker driver out there), with the Proxy, your ears do the tuning for you! Well, your hearing does.

Speaker Drivers Customized for You

Software does all the heavy lifting here, which is why you’re able to custom tune your own set of speaker drivers for just $189. The free Wear and Hear app does it all for you, just the first time you use it. Once you’ve tuned the speaker drivers according to your personal sound profile, you can use them with any device you want and they’ll be 100% tuned exactly the way you’ve set them. You never need the app again if you don’t want.

OK, Here’s how it works

Even though you can tune the drivers however you want, if you aren’t an audio engineer (I’m not), tuning your own speaker drivers won’t do you much good.
So, yes, the Wear and Hear does give you full access to tune how you choose. But thankfully, if you’re like me and need the help of a professional, the Wear and Hear app will walk you through a hearing test, assessing each ear individually and accordingly creates your sound profile for you. It lets the speaker driver compensate for any frequencies that you don’t hear well anymore.

Try them Risk-Free for 30 days. If you don’t love the way they improve your quality of life, send them back for a courteous full refund.
