| To access all the great effects and operations in the Advanced Tab,
just click on the Operations Menu (Arrow 1) and Choose Advanced
(Arrow 2) to get to the effects. Note: To use any of the effects, you first select the portion or all of the music or voice that you have loaded. Then after you've chosen which effect you want to use and the settings within that effect, just click the Apply Button to Apply the effect to the area that you have chosen. It's all just that easy. So, Let's click Advanced and get started. |

Here's the Other Tab of the Advanced Operation Effects Menu. To Access
it, |

| This is the Delay tab, Arrow 1, and it gives you the power to
add some very powerful effects to your music and voice files. To use it, select something in the Editor. Then Click the Advanced Tab Effects and Choose Arrow 1 to access the Delay Tab. Arrow 2. Delay Phaser is what I call the Echo Effect. The default is really good and it's what you'll use most of the time. It gives you that feeling of being in a very echo heavy environment. Depending on your source file, you can turn up or down the amount of the echo by increasing or decreasing the amount of Delay, Depth of the Delay and Decay of the succeeding echoes. It's easy, but the only way to really get comfortable with it is to record a file and then try different setting with it till you get what you want. Arrow 3. Reverb is a bit like the old spring reverbs in the cars of the 60s. It's very subtle and you might not hear anything at all, or very little depending on your source. It's probably not an effect you will use often, but it's one you might like if you do. Arrow 4. Flanger/Chorus is another effect that's really 60ish. It's not for music. It can be used if you just want to create odd sound effects from your own voice or music. Play with it I've gotten some interesting effects out of it. Arrow 5. After you've made your choices, just click the Apply Button and whatever was selected in the editor will be converted to what you've chosen. If for any reason you don't like what you did the first time, just Undo it by clicking the reverse arrow button up in the icons at the top of the editor. The Advanced Tab Effects are extremely powerful. |

| This is the Amplitude Tab. It's easy to use and has some powerful
effects. Choose the Amplitude Tab (Arrow 1) to get
started. Arrow 2. Normalize gives you the power to make different parts of a recording which might not be recorded at the same volume more even so you don't have to manually play with the volume control while you listen. This is worth trying if you have problem voice or dictation files. Arrow 3. Fade. This is important. You'll find Fade+ and Fade- on the Main Operations Menu. So Why is there here? It's really special. With this Advanced Variable Fade Control, you gain total control of how much and in what direction your fade-ins and fade-outs will be. OK here's what I mean. Select the amount of your file you'd like to fade. Often it's 3-6 seconds, but with this control, it can be any amount that you select. Then you don't have to go from 100% to 0. You can go from 100% to 30% if you like. So you don't have to completely fade in or completely fade out. Just choose the percentage that you want and you'll be all set. Arrow 4. Vibrato. What's Vibrato? It's a tremulous or pulsating effect produced in an instrumental or vocal tone by barely perceptible minute and rapid variations in pitch. And you can apply it to anything you've selected in the editor. It's an interesting effect and it's used for both music and if you want to change your voice, add some vibrato too. OK, that's it for the Advanced Effect Tab Effects. I'm really pleased I was able to add all this great functionality to the Editor for you. I use several of these on a daily basis, so frankly I really added them for myself. Enjoy. . .Drew |
