Fast Easy Setup
There's really nothing to do to setup
the DJ Display. Just plug any audio input into its standard RCA jacks. You can
plug in the audio output from your preamp, CD Player, cassette deck, DVD Player,
VCR, walkman or iPod.
You can also use the standard RCA output jacks to connect a cable to wherever
any of the devices were previously plugged in. The DJ Display will pass the signal
unaltered. So you can simply use any spare output to feed the DJ Display or pass
the signal through it if you're currently using the signal. Or you can use a Y
adapter to feed both the DJ Display and your sound source.
Then plug in up to 8 stereo and/or video components. Now you'll have a centralized
tangle free place to plug in all your electronic components, devices and toys.
If you're like me, you never have enough outlets to plug into. Now you will. The
DJ Display is a full 19" wide including the rack panels. It's just 6"
deep and 1 U rack mount (1.75") tall. It's covered by a standard 90 day parts
and 1 year labor limited warranty.

What's
a VU Type db Meter?
|
A VU meter is a preset meter to
measure fixed volume units with a typical scale from –20db to about +3db.
It's also damped so that it doesn't overreact to incoming peaks. Of course it
was designed in an analog age.
The db display in our new DJ VU Type db Meter is like a VU meter, but extends
far beyond a VU meter's capabilities. It has a relative range between 5db and
140db. But that range is relative, and not fixed like a VU meter because you control
the sensitivity with the twin adjuster screws to obtain the type of meter movement
that you desire.
So, you can get full meter movement with a small signal or full meter movement
with a strong signal. So, a VU type db meter really is much superior, but it's
not calibrated unless you set it by outputting a standard reference tone at a
known level to it.
And if you do that, you'll only be using a small portion of the 28 LEDs that display
for each channel. In short it gives you an accurate reading of the difference
between peaks of the music you are viewing but because you can adjust it, and
its range is many times that of a VU Meter, it's not a VU meter. |
Try DAK's 19" DJ VU Type db Meter Display
In Your Stereo System

Plug it in. Call the neighbors. (They
can probably see it from their houses anyway.) But you'll blow them away when
they see it up close.
Put on your favorite music. Watch the display. It's like, well, awesomely impressive
to watch. It really is like a scientific lightshow. And with all the plugs your
plug tangle will be gone forever.
Try it in your own stereo risk free for 30 days. See if it isn't a blast to watch.
I'm pretty sure that once you see your music moving across the 28 LED elements

that with one centralized place to plug in 8 of your audio and video components,
it's also not leaving your system.
But it's up to you. If you don't love it, send it back to DAK in its original

This is the most impressive, enjoyable component that I've added to several of
my stereo systems in a long time. People think if it doesn't affect the sound,
why do it. But its visual display has a serious effect on my enjoyment as I listen.
And that's good enough for me. Not to mention, the 8 extra plugs I've added to
each of my stereos to help clean up my clutter.

2 For 1 Discount Hookup Cables
This is PRO DJ gear so it doesn't come with cables. But, if you're like me, you
probably have all the cables you need laying around the house to hook up the 19"
VU Type LED Meter Display. It uses stand RCA cables just like every other piece
of stereo gear.
But, if you're short of cables, here's a super 2 for 1 cable deal for you so you
don't have to look for cables and frankly and my 2 for 1 deal, you might want
to stock up. This special is only good when you buy the DJ Display, but you can
buy as many as you like.
Three 2 For 1 Cable Sets. For most stereo gear, you'll just use the RCA to RCA
cable set. If you are hooking up to a computer or you want to run the DJ Display
from an iPod or a walkman, get the 3.5mm plug to RCA. And finally, if you need
one of each, 1 RCA to RCA and 1 3.5mm to RCA that's the 3rd 2 for 1 cable set.
We'll rush these out separately so you have them fast.

Easy plug-in and pass through too. Jut plug the output from any amp, tape
deck, CD player, DVD Player, VCR, Walkman and see the sound waves explode on the
biggest LED VU meter I've ever seen.
