What Shape is Your Heart In?
Pulse Rate Monitor
They're wrong. They think you wear this great looking watch just for exercise. But now you can see your pulse rate when you just climb some stairs, drink coffee, rest in front of the TV or when you have to give a speech. What shape are you in? Find out now with ECG Technology and
NO Straps and NO Infrared.

By Drew Kaplan
It's a fact. Your heart rate can tell you a lot about yourself. You can evaluate your health condition, how much stress you're under and how hard you should exercise.
Think about it. How fast does your heart beat when you climb a flight of stairs? Then, how long does your heart take to return to its normal pulse rate? How about after you have a Diet Coke or some Coffee? Something Spicy?
Well, now you can easily check out your heart rate anytime, anywhere with the newest in sophisticated computer pulse takers.
Plus, you'll have a high-tech great looking water-resistant sports watch, complete with stopwatch, pacer, alarm and more. Plus, with NO chest straps and NO infrared, this is the watch you'll wear all day, every day.

Why no straps or infrared? I'm really serious about tracking my heart rate. I've done it for years. And doing it while you exercise is fine, but I DO IT ALL THE TIME. How fast is your heart beating right now? Wouldn't it be good to know?

The only way I've found that really works well for me is to use the electronic ECG (Electrocardiogram) type of pulse measurement. Most of the time that means wearing a strap with sticky pads around your chest. But I hate that and I hate having my chest shaved too. Yuck. So I really only like to wear heart monitors without straps. And I think you will too.
Over the last 20 years I've tried lots of the infrared type pulse meters. They measure the blood flow through your capillaries. I've never found one that worked well for me.
They may work for others, but not for me. The kind that clips over your finger does work fine, but it's not part of a watch and it's really pretty clumsy to wear if you're not already lying in a hospital bed.
So, this all new ECG (Electrocardiogram) electronic measuring system where you simply put your finger on the metal sensor (the back of the watch is the other sensor) and let the electronic pulse meter measure the electrical impulse driving your heart tell you your pulse is head and shoulders my favorite by far. And I'm just as sure it will be yours too.

TARGET ZONE EXPLAINED
If you're like me, you've probably been trying to get into shape or keep in shape for years. I'm only 59, but, several friends my age have had heart attacks. And, frankly I'm not taking any chances. When I was 40, I lost 40 pounds. Now I swim and work out virtually 7 days a week.

And, I want you to too. My dad is almost 92 and he goes to the health club 7 days a week. He only retired about a year ago. And aside from good genes I think it's the dedication to exercise that has kept him young.
And he's my role model. I want to make it to 92 in good health still writing the DAK catalog and still SCUBA diving regularly. And if you're healthy you'll keep buying the neat things I find to introduce to you. So, get with the program. :)
You see, We're getting past the point in life where we can simply say, we'll get back into shape again next year."

When you are at rest, so is your heart. A low resting heart rate usually means you're in good condition. Have you checked yours? When you exercise you want to reach your heart's target zone. But have I reached my target zone or just had too much coffee?

Now you can check your heart rate any time anywhere. Now you'll know before you get up in front of that audience. Now you'll know after you drink that soda or eat that hot Thai salad. What is your heart rate when you walk up stairs, carry in the groceries or chase after the kids or grandkids. Now you'll instantly and easily know for sure.

And, your heart, just like any other muscle in your body, needs exercise. Unfortunately, unlike your arms or legs, you can't normally see your heart's condition. But now with the new Heart Window ECG technology you can see a lot.
And do take a minute to check your pulse after you walk to the car, climb some stairs or just finish that Diet Coke. Oh, and because you'll effortlessly wear it all the time, so you can monitor how long it takes for your heart to return to normal.
Aerobic exercise is designed to keep your heart in shape. It helps you reach your heart's healthy exercise target zone.
So, what is your target zone? It's the area between 60% and 80-85% of your maximum heart rate. And here's an easy way to figure it out.
Simply subtract your age from 220 beats per minute. So for me at 59, is (220-59) or 161.
So, when I exercise I should get my heart rate up to at least (161 X 60%) or 97 beats per minute. And no higher than (161 X 80-85%) or 128-136.
Question? Does your heart get up to these rates when you drink a couple cups of coffee, a few Diet Cokes or that Spicy Enchilada? And if you get up to give a speech at a wedding or rehearsal dinner do you get nervous? Does your heart race? Well, now you'll know.
Of course before you start an exercise program you need to check with your own doctor as I have to see what he recommends for you. But you can monitor your condition right now wherever you are and whenever you want.
Anyway, when you take your pulse, it shows you your pulse rate with no straps and no infrared. Now you'll know if you're in your target zone or not. So, you can instantly and easily compare your pulse rate to your target zone.
Heck if you skip the elevator and take the stairs you might get started on your exercise program right now. Check your heart rate and see for yourself.
You can make sure your workouts are good for your heart. And, you can stay away from dangerous escapades as well as total wastes of time.

The EL backlit is awesome. It's so bright and so clear, now you can check your heart rate in total darkness with no hassle. Plus for the time of day, stop watch and more just touch a button. This is a really elegant looking Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Wear it all day every day. See the time, the date and the day of the week on the face all the time. Touch the ECG sensor and see your heart rate fast. Plus check out the top watch, exercise pacer and much more. This is the watch you'll wear every day from now on.

Note: Remember, before you start any exercise program, you should consult your doctor. The Heart Window is designed to indicate your pulse rate and aid your exercise, not to make medical diagnoses.

BUT ISN'T EVERYONE DIFFERENT?
Here's the really exciting part. The worse shape you're in, the faster you'll reach your heart's target zone.
You see, as you get in shape, your heart doesn't have to beat as hard to do the same amount of exercise. Just like your arms when you work out with weights, your heart becomes stronger with exercise.

To keep your heart in shape, most doctors recommend exercising within your heart's target zone for 20 minutes a day, 3 times a week.
And you'll know what you've done. With this new pulse computer you can store up to 20 heart rate histories complete with a time/date stamp. And you'll have a record of your highest and lowest rates. So, you can keep track of your workouts and tests.
You can compare pulse readings for the week. Or, monitor them throughout the day.
Whether you're a long-distance runner or just a few pounds overweight, your heart rate can help show you a picture of your heart and body's condition.
Set a pace to keep you at a constant level of exercise. Or use the lap timers to time races or the dual time to keep track of where you are and the time at home. It's all built into this remarkable new heart monitor pulse watch

This electronic pulse tracker is safe for both the beginner and the athlete. And, you'll really see your improvement as you exercise and strengthen your heart.
But, you don't have to exercise. Just wear the pulse watch at work, play or when resting to keep you aware of your body's physical condition. Use it at the office when you're under stress. Or, check your pulse after you walk up the stairs or around the block.
And, look at this. Take your pulse. Then, drink a couple of cups of coffee or a cola. And, take your pulse again. You'll see what your "pickup" actually picks up.
And, if (God forbid) you smoke, take your pulse before and after a cigarette. Wow! You'll instantly see the difference.

YOUR HEART WINDOW PULSE PARTNER
Wearing this pulse watch is like having a direct ECG electronic link to your heart. It uses micro-electronics to actually measure the electronic current that beats your heart.
I like to take my pulse in the theatre, in bed or anywhere I am. Doing it in the dark is no problem. You may think I'm crazy, but I've been doing this for years. Now finally, it's easy.
You simply rest your finger on the silver metal sensor. NO unreliable infrared sensors here. And, you'll see your heart rate flash on the screen.
This multitalented watch also has an hourly chirp, along with alarm. So you can be reminded of the time later in the day or several days away.
Plus it has a dual time, a 1/100-second-stop watch and countdown alarm.
You can use the stopwatch to record race finishes, lap times and split times.
It's great for keeping track of exercise and sporting event time, as well as rest periods.
Best of all, this computer pulse taker is contained in a great looking, 24-hour chronograph, LCD watch with super EL blue backlight for super easy night viewing. You'll be as proud to wear it with a coat and tie, as you are when you're running. And, it's backed by a standard limited warranty.
