No Need To Compromise - Get BOTH Lapel & Head Mics
Make It A Lapel Or Head Mic Swappable System.
Lapel Mic Systems and Head Mic Systems use the same bodypack/transmitter
and receiver. So if you just add the extra Lapel Mic part or Head Mic part, you
can swap between them any time you like. You see, it's just the small wire from
the actual Lapel Mic or Head Mic part that plugs in and locks to the bodypack.
So you can change the actual Mic part at any time.
So order the Lapel or Head Mic System you want, then order extra Lapel Mic parts
or Head Mic parts for instant swapping or as spares. Then you'll always have exactly
the wireless Mic you want. This bonus is only available at the time you order
the Mic. |

Which is the best
Mic for Your Job?
Hand Held - Lapel - Head Mic
|
There are 3 types of wireless microphones. They all have
the same
40-20,000hz specs. The difference is in what you want to use them for. So while
you can use any of the 3, it's always best to think of your primary use and get
that Mic, knowing that you can still use it for other applications if you want
to.
So, Just think about what you are going to do with the microphones.
The Hand Held Mic. If you're going to pass the Mic around for several people
to speak or sing or you just like to hold a microphone (We all do.) then choose
the Hand Held Mic. It's great for talking or singing and of course can be put
on a Mic Stand if you like.
The Lapel Mic. If you are giving speeches or lectures and you want your
hands totally free as you walk around, then just like the actors you see interviewed
on TV or actors on stage in a play, use a Lapel Mic.
The Head Mic. If you are 100% about singing, and you don't want to hold
a hand held mic, or you are in a very noisy environment, or if you have a particularly
soft voice, then use a Head Mic. It's the Britney Spears way to go.
Musicals. If you're in a musical with both talking and singing parts, most
actors prefer the Lapel Mic. It's only full time signing where some prefer the
Head Mic.
You can have BOTH a Lapel and a Head Mic. You have
a choice. You can get a Head Mic or Lapel Mic System and just add the other kind
of Mic as an extra Mic.
Lapel and Head Mics use the same Bodypack/Transmitter (The actual tiny cable for
the Head Mic or Lapel Mic just plugs in and locks so they won't come loose.) so
if you get a Head Mic System, you can add an extra Lapel Mic for just $10.
If you get a Lapel Mic System, then add a Head Mic for just $20. That way, you
can have your choice and the ability to change between Head Mics and Lapel Mics
any time you like.
And you can use up to 8 of our PRO VHF Wireless Mic systems at a time on stage
in any combination of Hand Held, Lapel or Head Mic versions. The key is 8 Mics.
The 8 Mics can be used in any combination you need.

Camcorder &
Laptop Computer
No Cable Wireless Microphones
What's The Difference?
|
What's The Difference Between the Camcorder Mics below,
and the On-Stage Wireless No Cable Mics above?
The microphones themselves are identical. You walk around with them totally cord
free. But the on-stage Mics above use an AC powered receiver and plug into your
PA system or any microphone jack. So the Microphones are portable and battery
operated. But the Receivers are AC Powered because the receivers never move
around while you're using them because they are plugged into a PA system or
other microphone jack.
Camcorder Mic systems like I said use the same identical microphones as the on-stage
mics above. But camcorder Mic Systems ALSO use a battery operated receiver.
Both the microphone AND the receiver are battery operated. So, you can walk
around not only with the microphone, but someone else can also walk around with
the receiver connected to a camcorder or notebook computer and neither of you
need AC power for the microphone or the receiver. Other than the difference
in the power sources for the receivers, AC or Battery, the on-stage and camcorder
microphone systems work identically.

Here you see The Hand held Mic (Left) The battery Operated Receiver (center)
and the Lapel Lavalier Body pack & Mic (right). To the far right you see the
1/8" (3.5mm) cable being plugged into the external Mic jack of your camcorder
or laptop computer.
|
|
When you buy any of the
No Cable Mic Systems above, you get BOTH the Microphone and the Receiver.
While the Mics run on batteries, the powerful 500' professional receivers operate
from AC (included).
But, what if you want to
be totally portable and use the system with a camcorder or out on the road
with a battery operated notebook computer?
The all new Camcorder System works the same way as the other systems except
that the Receiver is battery powered, not AC powered too.
The portable receiver gives
a totally portable range of up to 250 feet and runs up to 8-10 hours on a single
9V battery. It comes complete with an 1/8" (3.5mm) cable to plug into your
camcorder. To

XLR
Adapters For Auditoriums & Mixing Boards |
 |
Most large venues use XLR connectors for long cable runs. These
are normally used with wired Mics. But, if you are using our wireless Mics, you
may want or need to plug them into these XLR connectors.
Wireless Mics come with 1/4" standard jacks. So just plug the cable that
comes with DAK's Mics into the 1/4" female jack at the back of these adapters
and then you can plug directly into your XLR wall or mixing board jacks.
Order Male or Female - Very Important. Before
ordering, look at the XLR connectors you will be plugging into. If there are 3
holes going in, they are female jacks. If there are 3 prongs sticking out, they
are male jacks. You need to order the OPPOSITE gender so they will plug in. So
if yours are male, buy female and if yours are female, buy male.

How
Wireless Mics Work
|
Wireless
Mics Have 3 Distinct Parts.
1.)
The Mic & 2.) The Transmitter (left) and 3.) The
Receiver (center).
Wireless microphones (Mics) work just the same as regular corded Mics, except
that you are free to walk around without a cable. Here’s what’s different.
A wireless Mic consists of 3 parts. Part 1.) The microphone itself, Part 2.) A
transmitter. And Part 3.) A receiver. The receiver plugs into the SAME Mic jack
as your regular corded Mic, so your actual connection to your PA system, Karaoke,
Computer or Recorder is identical to a corded Mic.
 |
| Remember: Mics need to
be plugged into PAs. Mics don't have amps or speakers of their own. |
The wireless difference is that the microphone part of the system plugs into a
body pack/transmitter in the case of lapel and head Mics or with Hand Held Mics,
the transmitter is part of the Mic you hold itself.
Then when you speak or sing into the microphone, the microphone as we just explored
is physically connected to the transmitter. It’s the transmitter that wirelessly
transmits what you say to the receiver.
And of course the receiver is plugged into your Mic Jack. So a wireless Mic is
wireless between the transmitter and the receiver. Otherwise, it really works
just like a corded Mic. Now you know the way that all wireless Mics work.
How
Can 2-8 Mics Work At Once?
DAK’s wireless Mics work on the VHF Professional TV band between the TV
stations that you watch. Each Mic operates on a different frequency or station
just like TV stations. So just like you can watch Channels 2, 4 and 7 on 3 TVs
in your house at the same time, you can use up to 7 of our Mics at the same time
in the same place.
Each has a completely different VHF frequency and therefore uses a completely
separate Pipeline or Highway through the air between the Transmitter and Receiver.
None of the channels are any better or different in VHF quality from the others
and each is far enough from the other so there is never any chance of interference.
Whether you use just 1 or all 7 frequencies has no effect on the other Mics. Each
is 100% separate from every other Frequency. And each Mic is factory set so it
can never drift or change.
Can
I Use TWO Mics With ONE Receiver?
No, you can never use two Mics on the same frequency because they will conflict
with each other. Mics are made to have 1 Mic and transmit to the frequency matched
receiver. If you have 2 on the same frequency, the Mic nearest to the receiver
will generally stamp out the one that is farther away. And even the nearer one
will have problems as it competes with the other Mic. So, only one Mic can be
used on a single frequency.
BUT
Can I have
ONE Mic With TWO OR MORE Receivers?
Sure, this works perfectly. Think about watching TV. You can watch Channel 4 as
can all your neighbors. So VHF (and all RF signals) can be sent to thousands and
even millions of receivers at once. So we can use this principle to design custom
Mic systems for you.
For example. Let’s say you want to speak to a group of people through our
PA system and at the same time record the event with a camcorder. We just give
you a PA system with an extra Camcorder receiver that's on the same frequency.
Then the PA picks up what you say and the Camcorder receiver does too. There’s
no loss of signal this way and we can custom design systems for you with up to
8 people talking at once and multiple PAs for groups to 3-400 people or groups
in different rooms.
It’s easy and our Microphone experts can create these inexpensive, flexible
systems for you. Just remember 1 Mic frequency transmitting (up to 7) and as many
receivers as you like. This is the principal that makes it all work. Now you know
that you can build a multiple Mic system to do just about anything you need.
One
More Thing.
Camcorder Versus Studio/Stage Wireless Mics.
We have two types of wireless Mic systems above. Both the No Cable Mics and Camcorder
Mics use the 100% Identical Hand Held, Lapel & Head Mics and transmitters.
BUT the No Cable Mics ($49.95) use a receiver (left) with a full-size metal antenna
and the receiver plugs into AC power.
The Camcorder Mics ($79.95) as I said are identical (right), but the Camcorder
receivers have a flexible antenna so you can walk around with the receiver plugged
into your camcorder or notebook computer and like the Mics, the receiver operates
on a 9V battery, not AC.
So if you use your Camcorder on a tripod and aren’t walking around, then
use the No Cable Mics because they cost less. If you need to walk around with
the receiver or there’s no AC power nearby, use the Camcorder system. The
frequency response and sound quality is identical. Only your power source requirement
is what you should use to make your decision.
Easy
Multi-Mic And Multi-PA &
Camcorder Receiver Systems Fast.

Now that you know how wireless Mics and receivers work, let me show you the type
of system that you can build to do lots of things you never imagined you could
do with microphones. You can create a system like this or use parts of it or add
more. This is just an example to show you how easy and how fast
you can set up a system for just about any need you may have. This is a system
using 4 Mics so 4 people can talk at once. Plus they can be heard through 3 PAs
for a group of about 300 or in 3 different rooms.
Plus the sound of all 4 can be recorded on a camcorder and is also fed to a PA
system that's part of your auditorium. Now this isn't a likely combination that
you might need, but you can see how flexible all this can be for your needs.
Let's explore the system by the numbers. 1.) Here I have 4
wireless Mics so 4 people can talk at once. You can actually use up to 8 Mics
this way. The Mics transmit to each of their frequency matched receivers.
2.) Then the receivers plug into the 4-channel Mic mixer. (If you
had 8 Mics you'd use the 8-channel Mic mixer. This gives you independent volume
control for each Mic and master volume control of all of them.) 3.)
Then the Mic Mixer plugs into a special Hi Level Transmitter that's on a frequency
not used by any of the Mics in this system. This takes the output from the Mic
Mixer and transmits it to as many PAs, Receivers and Camcorder Receivers as you
need. 4.) All of the receivers for the PAs, Camcorders and Regular
Receivers must be on the same frequency as the Special High Level Transmitter.
Remember we learned that everyone in your neighborhood could watch channel 4 on
TV?
Our example system here works the same way. You could have a 100 PAs, Regular
Receivers and Camcorder receivers all receiving the same signal from the special
transmitter. There's no loss or problem at all.
Creating systems is just this simple to do. And we have all the tools to get you
going fast and easy, and very cheaply too.

"When I damaged my singing voice I decided
to do more lecturing; however the voice thing again, so although not actually
singing, I had to be extremely cautions about voice projection.
I must have been hooked up to about every sort of PA system possible to spare
my speaking voice. When I got your Headmic Headworn microphone I thought, yeah,
right ... another attempt to speak without hurting my voice, then, wow! It
works! vocal quality is clear and crisp, and occasionally a song snippet gives
good fidelity, but most of all, wireless!
I can wander around more and concentrate on my PowerPoint presentation rather
than getting tangled up in microphone wires.
What a deal! I carry this with me rather than
pot-luck chance hookups. DAK
has saved my career! "
