A Thousand Words
Smart Sound Detonator Graphic Equalizer and Spectrum Analyzer. 2024 Just $149. It's true. A picture really can be worth a thousand words. And it's especially true with technology. As you look below, I hope that you'll see the parts, angles and buttons clearly so that you'll have a 100% clear understanding of just what this product can do for you. Products don't get reviewed unless I think they're good. I hope my pictures help you determine if you agree or not. . . Drew
Wait till you see it, touch it and hear it in your own system. Now you'll gain full control over every frequency in your music. Make the string basses throb. Open up the high violin passages. Energize the tubas, or just add rich powerful depth to the very low voice. You can make a voice emerge out of the muck or really pop that piccolo. It's all up to you. And, you'll see it all on the 220 element florescent display. You'll see what you hear. You'll see what you test. And you'll see as well as hear the dramatic improvements you'll make to the dynamism of your music from now on.
What do you see? Here's the Pink Noise from my test disc. If you look at the equalizer above, you'll see that I have the 20 equalizer sliver controls set to boost the highs and lows. The pink noise would be all flat, all displays equal if I didn't boost anything. So, you can see exactly what you'll hear. It really does help you hear the excitement that you want to hear in your music when you can visualize it all on the florescent display.

I wanted to show you that you can see the frequencies that you choose to work on. Here is what you see when I play the 32hz sine wave. As you can see the equalizer's 32hz meter is way up. This is how you'll choose and identify instruments and areas of the band you want to improve. You'll really hear these changes as you make them. This isn't a subtle improvement to your sound it's really dramatic. You will love owning and listening to your music once you insert this equalizer into your stereo system.

Here's what a 1,000hz signal looks like. Are you getting the idea? Just wait till you pop in my (Drew's) Test Disc yourself. You'll see each band rise as the tones sweep through it. And by doing this a few times you'll become familiar with the frequencies and you'll be in complete control of what you do with them to improve your music's drama.

Finally, here's the 16,000hz test tone. Can you hear it? Well, you know it's there because you can see it on the display. How much of your music are you missing? If you're hearings not as sensitive at 16,000hz, how would you know? (Translate that you're probably over 45 or so.) Well, now you CAN do something about it. So you can compensate for the recordings you own, the recordings you make, your listening room, and yes, even your own hearing capabilities. This equalizer does it all to let you really get the most out of your music.

It's easy. Just plug it in. just put it in your tape loop or between your preamp and amp. It's really easy and you'll have front mounted controls to allow you to listen exactly the way you want. Switch the Equalizer in, then switch it out. After you try this test a few times on a few different musical selections I'll bet you never switch it out again. Use it to transfer your music to your computer and you'll find that you can pre-equalize your music for your portables, car, den, office or bedroom. Equalizers really do manipulate the frequency bands to dramatically improve your musical experience and with the -104db hum and noise and the 10hz-100,000hz frequency response, you'll not add any garbage to the perfect sounds of your music form now on.

Here's a handy chart that you can use to identify instruments that you'd like to enhance or cut back. It's really easy to improve your sound when you know what area you want to boost or cut. And it's all easy with the full plus or minus 12db you can use to sculpt the frequencies of your music.

A Quick NOTE About My Pictures.
Some of the pictures aren't as sharp as I'd put in the print catalog. You see I have to cut back their files sizes or this page would never load (especially if you're on a dial up modem).
The technical side is that I'm shooting JPEGS at 80-100 percent quality and I cut them back to 50-60% and pretty much limit them to 600 pixels in width or less so that they'll fit on your monitor and load reasonably fast. In short, each picture is about 450,000 bytes when I shoot it and 20-40,000 bytes here on the page. A picture for the catalog is about 6,000,000 bytes.
I've created this page using separate tables for each picture so that you don't have to wait for everything to load in order to start looking. The picture captions will display first and then the pictures (usually starting at the top, but not always due to the way your computer interprets the web).
BUT HERE'S THE BOTTOM LINE. I don't feel you can really know about a product unless the pictures are big and clear enough for you to really see (almost touch). Then you'll know what you're getting. So in my print catalogs the pictures can be sharper, but on the web I can show you a lot more angles, sides and parts of each product. I hope this helps. If I ever forget to show you some part of the product that you want to see, Email me at DrewKaplan@DAK.com and I'll do my best to add it to the page quickly.
