By Drew Kaplan
It's too hot. It's too cold. It goes on all the time in the Kaplan household.
My wife and I agree about just about everything but the weather. When she's hot, I'm cold and when I'm hot, she's cold.
Well, now we've solved our dispute. Or at least reached an armed truce. Now we agree on a desired temperature, check it on our all-new wireless multi-station capable wireless temperature station and stop messing with the thermostat.
It's amazing how my family agrees on whether the house is too hot or too cold when the temperature is staring them in the face.
It's Just $29.90 - $6 P&H

The truth is we've had this problem since we were married. And about 15 years ago, we put in a wired temperature probe that really did solve the problem for a long time. But unfortunately, after about 10 years it died.
So, when Bob from Midland (the massive 2-way wireless communications company) sent me one of these new wireless temperature stations with the remote sensors for free to try out at our house, we were willing guinea pigs for this exciting new innovation.

QUICK INSTALLATION FREE TEMPERATURES
My old remote temperature station required me to drill a hold through the wall and run a cable.
Well no more. I just put 2 AA batteries in the Temperature Station and 2 more in the wireless weather resistant remote sensor and started reading the temperature.
How's that for installation free? And speaking of reading and reacting to the temperature, my old unit wasn't portable at all.
But now I can put the temperature station in the den, in the kitchen, or where we spend most of our time, which is generally in our home office where I write these reviews.
Oh and look at this. While I was testing the wireless temperature station, one of my computers was running a little flaky.
So I thought, why not put the remote sensor behind the fan and measure the temperature.
It was about 105°, then it was about 80° and then it was 88°. Well I was thinking that maybe the remote sensor wasn't as accurate as Bob said.
Well fortunately, it was accurate.
What I didn't know and couldn't have known was that the fan was slowing down and speeding up because of some spider webs under my desk.
If I hadn't decided to play with the sensor I probably would have lost the computer. So this turned out to be a good thing for me.
But because you can move the sensor and the temperature station itself for that matter instantly and easily, you can test anything and everything.

See the the time, the temperature where you are and with the remote sensor (add up to 3 more) you can monitor all the important areas of your home and office. Or let the Temperature Station monitor for you with BOTH high and low settable alarms. It's a kick to use as you move the sensors from room to room.
How hot is it around your home? Do you know? How even is the heat from room to room. Can you adjust the vents? In fact, what is the temperature in the ducts? In the baby's room? or upstairs in the attic? Now you'll know.
It's your garden, greenhouse or studio. Now you can know, monitor and track the temperature when it counts. Don't let your plants, your wine or even your children be overheated or chilled. Now you'll know. Now you can act. And it's a kick to move the remote sensor from place to place as you check out your own home, office and back forty.

What's the temperature in your attic, how about the garage, the family room or the baby's room?
Of course our kids are grown, and getting married as I've mentioned. So, we put a remote sensor in our bedroom, which is upstairs at the back of the house.
It's Just $29.90 - $6 P&H
Qty.

And now we check it from my office so that we know whether or not to turn the air on before we go up to bed. (Soon I guess we'll need the heat. We live in Los Angeles.)
Anyway now you can test and monitor air ducts, your green house, your stable, kennel or those special new bulbs you just planted.
And speaking of your kennel, if it gets really cold (not in Los Angles) don't you want to check before you let your dog, your cat or your kids out? It's easy. It's fast. And it's really nice to know.

GREAT SPECS GREAT TO USE
Check out all that you can measure. The Indoor temperature station measures temperatures from 32° to 122° F with 0.2 degree resolution.
The outdoor weather resistant remote temperature sensor, (which I use indoors often as well) measures from -04° to +149°. It better not ever get there or I'm out of here.
It broadcasts its powerful signal up to a full 100' on the newly approved 433MHz frequency band so it won't interfere with phones and other 2.4GHz devices.
Oh, and you can monitor up to 4 sensors. Of course I got mine for free, but extra sensors are just $15.95 ($3 P&H) so you won't go broke adding them.
The outdoor sensor is weather resistant as I mentioned and uses an O-ring to seal the battery compartment. Plus there's an easy mount removable mounting clip if you choose to permanently or temporarily mount it somewhere.
I just tend to put mine where I want them at the moment. And then move them.
OK, OK, I know I seem fixated with the temperature, but I really love knowing what it is wherever I am and getting to see BOTH the indoor and outdoor temperature displayed at the same time on the large LCD display.

BUT IT'S KNOWING FOR SURE THAT'S GREAT
OK, so there are upper and lower temperature alarms. And there's a clock and there's even a regular alarm too.
But frankly, it's just fun, great and a real safety precaution to know at my desk, in the kitchen or in our bed what the temperature really is somewhere else.
And if it's really cold out (it was 48 yesterday morning when we were getting up) maybe I'll just stay in bed. :)
Wouldn't you like to know what the temperature is on your patio, in your bonus room, basement or unattached studio?
The Temperature station is just 5-1/2" tall, 4" wide and 1-3/4' deep. The remote water resistant sensor is just 3-1/4" tall, 2-3/4" wide and 1.25 inches think.
Each unit uses 2 AA batteries (not included). It's backed by a standard 1 year limited warranty.

WHAT'S THE REALLY LOCAL TEMPERATURE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE AT YOUR HOME OR OFFICE?
FIND OUT RISK FREE
I hate office building air conditioners. The office I'm in is always too hot or too cold. Now you can put a remote sensor in your boss's office, your associates office or reception and see BOTH your temperature and theirs at the same time.
Around the house, in the bedroom, kitchen patio or den, now you can know what the temperature is where you are, and any room, or outside area that you need to monitor.
Frost won't ruin your plants again once you set the always vigilant temperature alarm to warn you if it gets below 30 or whatever temperature you've set down to -4 degrees.
Try the Temperature Station risk free in and around your own home or office. If you're not 100% thrilled with your newfound temperature information and its effect on your family, return the Wireless Remote Temperature Station within 30 days to DAK in its original box for a courteous refund.
