It's frustrating.
You read all the great literature. But, who were these
writers? When did they live? What motivated them? How can you gain insight into
the minds that created the literature?
Well, now you can gain a little
insight by checking the brief biography of each author that's just a click away
once you've selected a title in the TOC.
Yes, you can read the description
RIGHT FROM THE TOC so you can determine whether
to even open the book or not.
You'll also have access to the
brief bio. while you're reading any document in the library. Plus, you'll also
find a few words about most of the 2065 main titles to help you better understand
the work you are reading.
These
brief bios. are a great addition to the library because they give you a 'quick
take' on the author and subject that you usually don't get without a committed
effort to go find out about the author.
And if you're like me, you rarely
get the time. 2nd ABOVE is the description
of the Art Of War by Sun Tzu, and Just ABOVE
is the description of Colonel Spotswood by William Byrd.
I find
that it's very useful to know something about the authors and the titles to put
a work in context, and therefore its relevance to you. I think you
will too, and it's all yours on the FREE CD.
Sound
And Pictures. Your Books LIVE!
"O MY Luve's
like a red, red rose." "I took the one less traveled by." "Shall
I compare thee to a summer's day?"
Wait
till you hear these great words dramatically delivered by professional actors.
The Poems and Sonnets really come alive and give you a true feeling for the work.
Here's an idea. Why not organize
a group and read some these great works that aren't already recorded, on-stage
in your own living room.
What a great party idea. And
what's a book without pictures? You'll see them too.(Sorry no room
here.) And remember, the sound and the pictures are all yours on the FREE CD.
A Taste Of
Poetic Wonder
Hear the words. Feel the
emotion. You'll get a sampling of the sounds of the world's greatest literature.
Imagine hearing, "Oh Western wind. . .", "Down by the Sally Gardens
My love did go. . .", or "Tyger! Tyger! burning bright, in the forests
of the night,".
Ah,
I can listen to these great poems over and over again. It's a real
joy to own the FREE CD with all these great works, just a click of the mouse away.
There are even a few video clips.
And you can access all of them
from within the Titles themselves, or by entering the Multimedia Index and selecting
the reading that you want to hear.
