By Drew Kaplan
Forget floppies. Forget buying multiple expensive CF and SM memory cards.
Forget Complex networking. Now, you can carry 3.2 Gigs of portable, safe, hard disk memory that fits right in your hand wherever you go.
That's the equivalent of about 2,133 floppies. Really.
You're at the office. It's 5pm and you have a big proposal you're working on. Can you take it home or do you have to stay and finish it?
Now with your al-new 3.2-gigabyte instant-copy Image Bank hard drive, you're on your way home in seconds.
You're out in the bush. You've just shot 72 pictures of the rare spotted twit bird. And you're out of memory.
Or are you? Use the 6AA portable battery pack and you can save up to 12,000 pictures without finding a computer to download to or buying dozens of horrifically expensive memory cards.
You're at the airport. You've just finished the proposal that will make your company a fortune, or the Great American Novel.
It's too big to back up to floppies and your CDRW takes too long to write the files before the plane take off. Solved again. Just plug in the USB cable and backup your efforts, instantly.
If you're like me, you backup your computers every day. (Well, Ollie, you should.) But how do you backup your notebook while you're on the road? Now it's easy.
Now, I backup my notebook and my digital camera daily with the all-new Image Bank.
In fact I'm about to leave for Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand for a 2 week DAK buying trip.
And before the Image Bank, I had no way to backup all my files on my notebook.
Now, whether you're at a client's, in the car, or in the bush as I'll be, having a backup copy of all your work is easy, cheap instant and, well, priceless.

GOES ANYWHERE. REALLY
OK, it wouldn't be much good for backing up your digital cameras, MP3 players, desktops and notebooks if it didn't work EVERYWHERE would it?

It fits in your hand. But it holds a ton of your pictures, data, projects and well, just about anything. Take projects from work home. Save a ton on memory cards. And always have ALL your files wherever you are all the time. It's easy. It's fast. And i will save you money and set you free.
It's up to you. Copy files from the image bank to your computer. Transfer files from your CF and SM memory cards to the Image bank. And back up all your computers AS I'M Doing here to the Image Bank. Now backups and moving from place to place are easy, fast and Cheap. See more about dragging your files.

Plug it into AC with the included AC adaptor. When you're at your desk and using this 3.2-gigabyte Image Bank drive long term with your desktop, you'll just plug it in and use it.
When you're in your car, camper, van or boat, just plug it in using the included 12v cigarette adaptor and you'll have power to spare. Now you can download your pictures, backup your notebook or save your MP3 files.
Finally, if you're out in the bush, on the beach or deep in the jungle, just plug in the included battery pack (runs on 6 AA batteries you supply) and it runs and runs and runs.
Plus, there's even an included travel case that just clips on your belt and holds both the hard drive and the battery pack (see the picture)

Wedding Flash>>>.
Last month my older son got married and oh do I wish I had the Image Bank then.
However all is not lost.
In December, my younger son is also getting married. (Yup, I've got both sons getting married this year. So, Please buy something.)
Anyway, here's what I'm going to do. There were probably 30 people at my older son's wedding taking digital pictures. And unfortunately, I haven't been able to get copies from most of them.
But, in December, I'm going to be ready. I'll have the Image Bank at BOTH the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.
And, I'm going to copy off the CF and SM cards BEFORE the guests leave. Then I'll have lots of candids to share. This is going to be great for everyone. I'll keep you posted. . . .Drew

SO, HOW DOES IT WORK?
Couldn't be easier. Just plug it in. This is a 3.2 Gigabyte portable hard drive Image Bank with a USB port and card slots for BOTH CF (CompactFlash) and SM (SmartMedia Card) memory cards.
For Windows XP, just plug it in. It works instantly. For Windows 98, ME and 2000, just let the computer install the included driver once, and you'll have instant connections from now on.
I have both Windows 98 and XP on my computers and it worked instantly and effortlessly with every one.
And here's an important point. You can store all your files on the Image Bank at one time. So mix data files with picture files with MP3 files with backup files or you name it. There are no limitations when you use the all-new Image Bank.

YOU'LL SEE IT ALL ON THE BIG LCD DISPLAY
Want to download pictures, MP3 files and other data from your cards? Just insert a card, press download (copy) and your card will be copied to the hard drive and put in a sequentially numbered folder to make it easy for you to use later.
Check This Out. Want to move data from one computer to another? Couldn't be easier. Plug in the USB cable to your computer and instantly drag files from this hard drive to your desktop or from your desktop to the hard drive. That's it. It's that simple. Transfer BOTH WAYS instantly.
Want to backup data from your desktop or notebook. Couldn't be easier. Just drag the data you want to back up to the hard drive. That's it. Now you're protected.
How does Drew do it? I create a new folder each day on my desktop. Today's will be Sept18 Backup.
Then using the Control + Drag, I drag all the files I've worked on during the day, or the entire DAK site folder (it's easier for me) to the backup drive. That's it. I'm totally backed up. And with 3.2 gigs, you'll have lots of room to back up files.
I often don't get around to clearing my backups for a month or more. But, this is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
When my computer crashes I've still got a ton of work to do to restore my programs, but I never lose my data. And that's a really good thing.
Daily use? You bet. Between bringing things back and forth from your home to the office, finally having a backup for my notebook when I'm traveling and saving a fortune on memory cards, this memory bank is the best ever.

DOES IT MAKE CENTS TOO?
Hey, backing up your notebook and desktop instantly, and transferring files instantly between computers by just plugging into a USB port make tons of sense and save you lots of cents. But there's more.
Oh yes, if you're not networked, now you can simply use the plug and play Image Bank to transfer even the biggest files (including movies, sound files, power point presentation, Photoshop files and more) instantly, easily and without any programming at all.

But Check This Out. Today's price on memory cards is low. I can buy 256 MB cards for as little as $102.
So, for less than the price of 2 memory cards I can buy this 3.2 Gigabyte Image bank with its two card slots and USB connection.
Wow, that's a great deal. And the Image Bank is equal to 12.5 256 MB cards or 25 128MB cards or 50 64MB cards. Even with the cheapest 256 MB cards at $102, that's an astounding $1275 worth of memory card storage for just $199.90.
It's just 5.2" x 3.3" x 1.1". It weighs just 11 oz. And, it's backed by a standard limited warranty.
BACKUP TRADE, TRANSFER SAVE AND MORE
RISK FREE.
There's no question that dealing with backups isn't the most scintillating subject I've ever reviewed. But now that you can combine backing up with taking your files home at night and saving a ton of money on memory cards, it can really get exciting.
And 3.2 Gigabytes of data that fits in the palm of your hand and connects to any USB capable computer you own OR VISIT will really give you peace of mind, incredible flexibility and more.
Try it out with your cameras, MP3 players and notebook and desktop transfers and backups.
If it isn't the easiest device you've ever used, if you can't backup all your data easily and instantly, if you can't save a ton on flash cards and never face running out of memory again, simply return it to DAK in its original box within 30 days for a courteous refund.
