It's tough. If you've ever
tried to record a singer while you're sitting in the audience, or a conversation
from across the yard, you know that your microphone seems to pick up everything
but what you want to record.
Now
you can record a lecture from the back of the room or a bird's chirp from across
a field. (And if you're a spy, you can easily record other spies' conversations.)
Warning: It's rude to
eavesdrop. And, in some cases, it's even illegal. (Interesting
Note from Drew. Because of the recent advances in technology, the laws
are still even more restrictive on audio recording than video recording. Figure
that out.)
Anyway, the sound will be crystal
clear with a wide full frequency response from this incredible super-directional
electret condenser microphone.

Electret condenser microphones
capture sounds never before possible outside the recording studio.
By using battery driven circuits,
these microphones can use a more sensitive sensing membrane than traditional dynamic
mikes to capture subtle sound vibrations.
Very little mass must be moved,
so these new mikes are incredibly sensitive. The Audio Telescope is powered for
up to 300 hours by one AA battery (not included).
It comes with both a conventional
mike stand mount and a mini portable stand. And it's great for video recording.
The microphone itself is totally
isolated from the stand by 8 polymer O-rings. So, it actually floats.
It will not pick up motor noises or vibrations.
It is 17" long and comes
with a full-length foam windscreen. (Pictured)
There is a 6-foot mike cable
for conventional professional recording with a mini-phone plug for video camera
use.
It's backed by a standard
limited warranty. |

| Now
you can eavesdrop on an eagle, a magpie or a wren, record your child's starring
part in the school play and hear the winning putt rattle to the bottom of the
cup. Make recordings never before possible with this long-range shotgun mike.. |

8 0-rings (4 on each side) isolate the mike element from noise causing vibrations.
You won't get motor noise or other vibrations when you're picking up long range
sounds. And without them, the mike really does pick up vibrations. It really is
too sensitive to use without them. |
