A Thousand Words
It's true. A picture really can be worth a thousand words. And it's especially true with technology like DAK's new open air/closed 20hz-22,000hz Stereo Headphones. As you look below, I hope that you'll see the parts, angles and buttons clearly so that you'll have a 100% clear understanding of just what this product can do for you. Products don't get reviewed unless I think they're good. I hope my pictures help you determine if you agree or not. . . Drew
Their unique open air yet acoustically closed design and Neodymium Magnets make them uniquely able to deliver truly pure 20hz-22,000hz stereo sound. Plus with their padded around the ear design and adjustable over the head band they are incredibly comfortable and won't give you 'numb ears' even after hours of use. And you will want to listen for hours because the sound is awesome and should surpass your stereo system speakers by a large margin and your computer speakers won't even be in the same league. Slip them on and hear all the purity for yourself.

These all new headphones didn't get to 20-22,000Hz by accident. As you can see there's a lot that goes into their design and manufacture both electronically and physically to deliver the great sound, deep, rich bass you can feel and clearly defined super highs that make your music seem alive. There's no paper curtain here. The sound really is awesome.

Here's a close up view of the insides of the headphone cups. Around the edge you can see the pliable, flexible padded design that makes them a joy to wear and keeps the weight off your ear. In the center you can see the more common open-air design headset and in the back you can see the screened in acoustic design to keep the bass in and still get the benefits of open air design.

In the center you see the gold plated 3.5mm and 1/4" jacks that plug into any stereo system, portable or computer. On the left and right edges you see the adapter (called a Y adapter) that allows you to plug and unplug the headphones in while leaving the computer speakers plugged in all the time. It's only a $6.95 adapter (see the cables page in audio) but it really does make it easy for you choose to listen to your computer speakers or these great sounding headphones.

Your computer looks like this. The speaker output jack is almost always green and often has the concentric circles with the arrow point out. This is the universal icon for a speaker jack. Just plug the adapter in here. Then plug in your computer speakers in to one of the female jacks and your new great sounding stereophones into the other.

Oh, and just so you know, the pink jack on the left is your microphone in jack. It's almost always monaural. And the blue jack on the right is your stereo line in jack. It's the jack that you use with DAK's LPs & Cassettes to CDs systems to feed your music into your computer.

A Quick NOTE About My Pictures.
Some of the pictures aren't as sharp as I'd put in the print catalog. You see I have to cut back their files sizes or this page would never load (especially if you're on a dial up modem).
The technical side is that I'm shooting JPEGS at 80-100 percent quality and I cut them back to 50-60% and pretty much limit them to 600 pixels in width or less so that they'll fit on your monitor and load reasonably fast. In short, each picture is about 450,000 bytes when I shoot it and 20-40,000 bytes here on the page. A picture for the catalog is about 6,000,000 bytes.
I've created this page using separate tables for each picture so that you don't have to wait for everything to load in order to start looking. The picture captions will display first and then the pictures (usually starting at the top, but not always due to the way your computer interprets the web).
BUT HERE'S THE BOTTOM LINE. I don't feel you can really know about a product unless the pictures are big and clear enough for you to really see (almost touch). Then you'll know what you're getting. So in my print catalogs the pictures can be sharper, but on the web I can show you a lot more angles, sides and parts of each product. I hope this helps. If I ever forget to show you some part of the product that you want to see, Email me at DrewKaplan@DAK.com and I'll do my best to add it to the page quickly.
