Here's a great
Limeliter track that was
really ruined by a few very noticeable clicks. As I said, I recorded these LPs
long time ago. I didn't record these to write this review. I was doing them for
myself and now I'm just sharing it with you.
Listen to the difference. I think it will blow you away. Also, notice that the
left and right channels aren't the same. They seldom are. But, you don't have
to worry. Both channels will be restored without hurting your music. And you don't

First, what's a click or pop
anyway? OK, it's caused by a scratch on the vinyl, a speck of dust in the groove,
or just the damage caused by repeated friction from the stylus dragging along
the groove.
It's interesting
to note that the beginning of a record usually has the most and worst clicks and
pops because that's where the stylus has been lowered onto the record most
often.
Plus clicks,
pops and scratches are often found on only one channel, or are actually quite
different on the two channels. That's because one track rides in the bottom of
the groove while the other is actually on the side.
The
Click & Pop Assassin carefully analyzes your musical WAV MP3 and WMA files
to determine the difference between wanted musical content and unwanted Clicks,
Pops and Hiss.
It does
it all automatically and will actually produce new ADDITIONAL copies of as many
tracks as you like without affecting your originals at all. IT DOES NOT OVERWRITE
YOUR ORIGINAL TRACK.
It even renames each duplicated track YourTrackName_NEW.WAV (or not, your choice).

Minimize Big Clicks
Vanquish the big clicks caused
by big and deep scratches on disk surface. For the most part, these are the scratches
you can actually see with the naked eye. It does a remarkable job of wiping these
out. And it won't hurt your music as it does it. It simply uses complex algorithms
to identify and remove scratches without hurting your music.
Minimize Small Clicks & Pops
Eliminate
the hundreds of small clicks and pops caused by Adhered dust and small scratches.
This is the most common problem in most records that just comes from age and use.

Turn on the Extra Precision
setting, which delivers unmatched results. For most good quality records, the
Minimize Small Pops option can be enough to remove almost all pops and scratches.
It's very smart. It knows the difference between a click and say a snare drum
beat. So, you'll get click free record copies with no loss of music quality.
Filter
Frequencies (The One Manual Setting Restoration Filter)
This is the one filter that
actually changes your music. If you've got noise in your music that you want to
filter out, this is the filter for you. The smart algorithm filters really do
remove scratches and hiss with no detriment to your music at all. But what if
you have a noise that comes and goes, or just an area you want to filter out.
With the Filter Frequency Interface, you can filter out all frequencies below
any Hz number you put in. Or filter out all frequencies above a Hz number you
put in. Or choose a specific frequency you want to remove and it performs what's
called a notch filter function. So there's lots you can do with the Filter Frequency
Interface. But, remember it's the one restoration filter that you might actually
hear a change in your music. But, it's sure worth having.
Minimize Noise

you can adjust. This is minimize Hiss. Most times you'll simply click the box
that turns it on and just leave the defaults in place. This will remove Hiss without
hurting your music. |
Knock out or minimize hiss
and some kinds of rumble and other continuous noises. It's called a "noise
floor" the hiss you hear in areas of the sound that should be silent. For
example, you can hear it during the "pianissimo" parts of classic or
instrumental music.
The Hiss Assassin analyses
each track to automatically detect its noise floor. It will minimize all the frequencies
whose amplitudes are equal to or below the frequency amplitudes of the noise floor,
leaving the frequencies the higher amplitude (your music) intact.
Normalize Frequencies
Make all your tracks have
the same bass and treble balance. Different tracks from different LPs can have
large tone differences, which can be very distracting. Plus you can even compensate
for big differences between channels.

If you plan to record a CD
or create a sequence of MP3 files and your source files have different bass and
treble volumes, the frequencies of each track will be automatically adjusted so
all the music will seem to have the same bass and treble intensities.
If you're copying a single LP this isn't usually needed because the recording
engineer has already performed this task. But, there are not standards. So, if
you're copying tracks from 4 or 5 albums, this can be a real lifesaver.
Normalize Volume
Do
you select different tracks from different LPs or are you mixing cassettes, 45s
and other tapes? Now you can normalize the volume based on the frequencies most
detected by human ear between all the tracks you plan to put on a CD.
All
songs will have nearly the same volume in the frequency range between 680 Hz and
7 KHz (most detected by human ear) so you won't have
to adjust the volume as you play back each track on your CDs from now on.
Different volume levels
on different tracks drive me crazy when I use multiple sources. Now it's not a
problem any more. I can set the volume in my car once and forget it.

Convert MP3 Files, WMA or

Use the default settings. They are Perfect. Or, change them any way you want.
You can manually filter frequencies you want. Normally use Minimize Hiss to eliminate
consistent sounds.
But, for sounds that come and go, you can specify a frequency to remove. Unlike
the other filters, this filter will have an audible effect on your music. But
it will let you manually remove frequency bands if you like.
Remove all frequencies above or below any frequency you enter. Remove frequencies
between two frequencies that you enter. Or, remove up to 6 specific frequencies
you want to remove.
